### Ergodic Theory and Visualization

Levnajic & Mezic (2008 ) use novel techniques of scientific visualization for ergodic maps to graphically illustrate dynamics on invariant sets. A prototype example is the the Chirikov standard map, which is an area-preserving map with a wide variety of dynamical behavior, including chaos.

The aim of this project is to implement and extend the Levnajic & Mezic approach, in particular, as a test case, to the Arnold cat-map on the two-dimensional torus:
