Application of genetic algorithms to gene interactive rules to design a process for  preventing the formation of cancerous cells

The objective of this research is to find some gene interactive rules from observed outcomes, i.e. micro-array data, and use them to control and redirect their transition of state with goal of redirecting the cancerous development of the cell into a benign process. We built two probabilistic Boolean networks on two recently introduced models of gene regulatory networks, one for tumor and one for non-tumor producing structures. The ultimate goal is to use the Genetic Algorithm to determine actions to move the steady state of a tumor producing network to the steady state of a non-tumor producing network. The proposed method is supported by several computer simulation experiments.
