Numerical approximation of the magnetized proton exchange membrane fuel cell

Hydrogen proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells depend on proper water management throughout its layers in order to operate at optimal levels. We numerically verify the water management in the magnetized PEM fuel cell, and compare the numerical results obtained using lower order finite difference methods as well as spectral methods. We also numerically study the effect of applying an external magnetic field.
